| Earth Day is celebrated in the United States on April 22nd. Earth Day is celebrated by educating the public about being environmentally conscious. Earth Day celebrates and educates on topics such as recycling, GREEN remodeling, global warming and water awareness. Earth Day was moved to April 22nd because it was determined that this date would maximize college student participation. Earth Day is also recognized by the United Nations, but celebrated on the March Equinox. Many countries around the world celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd. |
