| About End of Ramadan |
| Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. On Sunday millions of Muslims all over the world have started the Eid-al-Fitr festival marking the end of the Ramadan. Eating, drinking and smoking are considered distractions and are thus abstained from during the daytime. Eid al-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal, the month which follows Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. This day Muslims celebrate the end of fasting and thank Allah for His help with their month-long act of self-control. Eid is also a time of forgiveness, and making amends. It is a time of intense spiritual renewal for those who observe it. Every day during the month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world get up before dawn to eat Suhoor then they perform the fajr prayer. |
