| Lailat-al-Bara'a is also known as Shab-e-Barat. Lailat-al-Bara'a is believed that in this night Allah-the God of the Muslims himself descends on the earth and cures every human being of his sufferings and sins. Laylatul Bara'ah is the night preceding the 15th day of Shaban. The Lailat-ul Barat is a very important night for the Muslims. This holy festival called Lailat-ul-Barat is celebrated with sweets, crackers, halwas, and rotis. Almost everybody in the Bangladesh celebrates Lailat-ul-Baraat as an auspicious night. People dance all through the night and meet their neighbors and their friends and all of them together celebrate Lailat-al-Bara'a. Lailat means night and Barat means Privilege. |
